Aims of the tool

To train educators to use art and manual skills as tools for social inclusion and personal development, fostering creativity, cooperation, and empathy in diverse learning environments.

Description of the tool

This online module offers a practical and inclusive approach to promoting the social participation of adults with Down syndrome. It combines theory and practice on using art as an educational tool, exploring how creative activities improve communication, self-esteem, and fine motor skills.
The course includes units on designing accessible art projects, facilitating group collaboration, and activities such as “Brush Strokes”, which encourage teamwork and self-expression through color and silence.
Participants develop key competences in inclusion, creative facilitation, and accessible activity design. By the end, educators will be equipped to implement art-based programs that strengthen confidence, social relationships, and a sense of belonging for all participants.
