Introducing several important keywords from the topic complex of Europe in a playful way

Description of the tool

Preparation: think of approx 50 words connected to the topic of Europe and/or the topic of the event and write them down on little cards. Make a bingo board for each participant with 25 (of the 50) words with different combinations of words on each board. As this takes a lot of time it is advisable to make prototypes and copy them several times or only give out the copies.
Procedure: Each participant receives a bingo card and a pen. The rules are explained: the game leader randomly picks a card and reads the word slowly, loudly and clearly. Whoever finds the word on their card puts a cross in the box. As soon as they have completed a line (vertically or horizontally) they shout ‘bingo!’ A small prize is given for the first 10 lines. Whoever completes their whole card first has won and shouts ‘super bingo!’ and gets the main prize. Several rounds can be played.
Variations:
- 2 or 3 bingo cards can be given to each participant. The degree of difficulty is then increased as is the tempo and the suspense.
- the game can be given a special atmosphere e.g. with nice invitations, music and decorating the room, the participants sit on round small bistro tables for coffee and cake, funny prizes, a bell which rings at each bingo and when super bingo even louder! etc
- the words can be in several languages
Evaluation: Words which come up in bingo can be explained as the event continues and gone into in more detail.
