The Ecologies of Care cards are a set of visual and action-based tools designed to support self-care through simple, everyday practices. Each card combines an evocative image with a short prompt or instruction, encouraging users to pause, reflect, and take small actions for their wellbeing.
The cards invite engagement through accessible practices such as setting boundaries (“Learning to Say No”), reconnecting with pleasure (“Doing What You Enjoy”), restoring energy (“Fill Your Bucket”), and creating safe environments (“Create Your Safe Space”), as shown across the set.
Designed for flexibility, the cards can be used individually or in group settings, allowing participants to choose one card at a time or explore them collectively. Their simplicity makes them suitable for different contexts, including youth work, informal education, or personal reflection.
By focusing on small, achievable actions, the cards support the development of sustainable self-care habits and encourage users to reconnect with their emotions, needs, and boundaries in a gentle and empowering way.
