Youth Initiation Guide CAZE - E-commerce Toolkit for Youth
The CAZE IO3 - E-commerce Toolkit for Youth Initiation Guide is intended to assist young people in the process of setting up and managing an online store, using the e-commerce platform based on the PrestaShop solution. This is an open-source CMS (Content Management System), known for its flexibility and modularity, which allows the store to be adapted to the specific needs of each seller by adding new functions.
The CAZE e-commerce platform consists of a frontend accessible to the general public and a backend intended for sellers. The frontend is the visible part of the online store, where customers can browse products, add items to the cart and complete purchases. The backend is the store administration area where sellers can log in, add new products, manage orders and store settings.
To become a seller on the CAZE platform, you need to create a seller account and choose a membership plan. Currently, the only plan available is free and requires validation from a platform administrator. After registration, sellers get access to a dashboard where they can see a summary of their online store's activity.
The process of adding a new product to the CAZE platform involves filling in product details, configuring product attributes, shipping options, pricing, and adding additional information. Once a product is created and published, the platform administration must validate the product before it is visible in the online store.
To make payments easier, sellers can choose to receive payments from the platform administration directly to their PayPal or bank account, depending on their preferences.
For further assistance in using PrestaShop, sellers are directed to refer to the official documentation, video tutorials available on YouTube, and video demo of the CAZE e-commerce platform.
In conclusion, this guide is intended to be a starting point for young entrepreneurs who want to develop and manage their own e-commerce business, providing them with the necessary knowledge to navigate and effectively use the PrestaShop platform to achieve their business objectives.
