Practical activity booklet on using simple art methods to support integration of Ukrainian refugees, with ready to use workshops, clear instructions and reflection questions for youth exchanges, schools and community projects.
The tool aims to share creative activities that were developed and tested during the Cultural Harmony Through Art youth exchange. The booklet focuses on inclusion, emotional expression and connection through art, offering practical step-by-step guidance, materials and reflection questions for each activity.
Cultural Harmony Through Art is an activity booklet created during a youth exchange in Skaudvilė, Lithuania with young people from several European countries, including Ukrainian refugees. The booklet collects simple creative workshops that use drawing, collage, movement, clay, stickers and origami to open space for expression and contact in mixed groups.
Each activity includes a short introduction, clear objectives, needed materials, step by step instructions and reflection questions. The methods are low threshold and do not require previous artistic experience. They are designed for small and medium sized groups and can be used in youth exchanges, local workshops, schools and community projects.
The main learning outcomes focus on emotional expression, creativity, cooperation and inclusion. Through these activities young people can explore feelings in a safe way, practice working together and communicating without words, improve concentration and experience art as a tool that supports wellbeing and connection between refugees and local communities.
