Manual
Cullkit is a toolkit created to provide an operational tool to youth organizations and youth workers interested in integrating into their educational offer, artistic and experiential approaches aimed at youth involvement.
Its creation responds to the need to systematize and share the practices, methodologies, and
techniques experienced during the project "CULTY – Building capacity in the youth field", with the aim of
strengthening the knowledge and skills of youth workers and youth organizations.
Designed as a practical and theoretical tool, this toolkit is mainly aimed at youth workers and organizations who intend to operate through artistic-participatory approaches on contemporary topics such as diversity and inclusivity, civil rights, youth empowerment, and self-development.
The selected techniques (that include Sensitivity Learning, Embodied Learning, Embodied Storytelling,
Biographical Theatre, Mindfulness, Live Action Role Play, and Gestalt Theatre) share the same principles:
- they promote radical inclusiveness, through languages that overcome verbal and cultural barriers;
- they promote "relations of concern", creating safe and dialogic environments;
- they stand out for their high flexibility and adaptability to formal and informal contexts;
- they stimulate active participation and youth agency, encouraging processes of empowerment and self-exploration;
- they enhance the transformative and sustainable dimension of art as an educational practice oriented
towards inclusivity, social justice, and active citizenship.
The Culkit provides a mapping of these methodologies and practices, accompanied by guidelines for their
application in local and international educational contexts, through descriptions, operational indications, and visual content collected during the project.
