In this handbook, we focused on key topics of social media planning and analysis by using different strategies. In light of the CYW project and our research, we will show you how to use the right tools and platforms for your communication channels.

Aims of the tool

With this tool, we intend to increase the quality of Youth Work by demonstrating how to use social media to reach the intended target audience and analyze the results obtained.

The specific objectives of this Handbook are:

- Show how to Plan a social media Strategie covering Market Research and Stakeholder Communication
- Teach how to create Content for different Social Media Platforms and Basic Graphic designs
- Show which Social Media platforms are the best to share and disseminate Youth Work projects
- Teach how to analyze metrics of different social media strategies
- How to engage with young participants using social media effectively

Description of the tool

Developed by 28 Youth Workers in the "Connecting Youth Work" Training Course, in Fundão Portugal, this handbook has the objective of increasing the quality of digital Youth Work by demonstrating how to use social media to reach the intended target audience and analyze the results obtained.
In the first chapter, you will find research on planning which covers a range of topics from market research to stakeholder communication. In the second part, topics for creating content for different social media platforms and basic graphic designs are explained. Then we mentioned different social media platforms which can be a good option for youth work projects and crucial points on do's and don'ts on these platforms in the third part. You can also learn about analyzing metrics of different social media strategies in Section 5. In the last part, you can check our recommendations about how to learn more on this topic and you can find helpful resources to improve your skills.
