Analyse the feelings caused by exclusion.
Examine inclusive and exclusive behaviours and the dynamics of exclusion
Ask a group of volunteers (4-5 people) to leave the room, divide the rest of the group in small groups, one for each of the volunteer outside the room.
The small groups are instructed to be start a discussion and keep the volunteers out of it, they can use any strategy they want except physical violence.
The volunteers are instructed to come back in the room and try to enter into the small groups and join the discussions.
The trainers observe what is going on in the groups for 5-10 minutes max (if tension grows too much stop the activity).
Divide a flipchart in four pieces and Facilitate a discussion about the strategies used by the excluded to be accepted , the strategies used by the excluders to keep the volunteers out, and how people felt as excluded/ excluders. Discuss the effect of exclusion on a long term, at personal, group and society level
