A comprehensive booklet from the "Inner Compass" Erasmus+ project. It features practical mindfulness tools, non-formal learning methods for mental health, and a structured guide to documenting personal growth using the Youthpass framework.
- To provide young people and youth workers with practical tools and strategies (mindfulness, theater, reflection) to manage anxiety and build emotional resilience.
- To cultivate self-awareness and personal growth through nature-based and creative non-formal activities.
- To facilitate the recognition of non-formal learning by providing a clear guide to the Youthpass process and the 8 Key Competences.
- To share successful methodologies and participant-led "Youth in Action" workshop ideas with the international youth work community.
The "Inner Compass" booklet is a collaborative tangible result co-created by 37 participants from six European countries. It serves as a methodology guide and a reflective diary of a transformative youth exchange focused on mental well-being and self-discovery.
The tool includes detailed descriptions of:
- Methodologies for mental health: Including "Ment-act Health" theater performances and a 12km reflective hike designed to explore personal history and future aspirations
- The Youthpass Framework: A practical guide to implementing the 8 Key Competences in youth work, featuring the "Key Competences Reflective Diary" as a companion for daily learning
- Participant empowerment: Insights into the "Youth in Action" sessions where participants co-created and led their own workshops
Learning outcomes:
- Resilience and well-being: Participants acquire actionable stress-management tools and mindfulness techniques to apply in daily life
- Communication and leadership: Enhanced ability to articulate thoughts in a foreign language and lead activities within a multicultural team
- Digital literacy: Practical skills in content creation, design (Canva), and digital storytelling developed during the booklet’s production
- Civic and social competence: Increased empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deepened understanding of European values and solidarity
