Background Text
A booklet supporting the use of self-care cards through creative and reflective practices, encouraging young people to explore emotions, boundaries, and personal narratives in a collective and empowering way.
To provide guidance on how to use self-care cards as tools for reflection and emotional awareness.
To support young people in exploring their needs, boundaries, and personal narratives through creative exercises.
To promote self-care as a daily, collective, and political practice.
To encourage experimentation with artistic, embodied, and imaginative methods for wellbeing.
The Ecologies of Care booklet provides guidance on how to use a set of self-care cards developed through participatory workshops across Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Greece.
Each card combines evocative imagery with simple instructions, inviting users to engage in reflective, creative, and embodied practices. The booklet offers additional context and suggestions to deepen the experience, encouraging participants to take time, experiment, and adapt the cards to their own needs.
The activities include writing exercises, narrative exploration, imagination, and sensory practices, supporting users in exploring emotions, personal stories, and inner resources. These tools foster self-awareness, emotional expression, and connection with oneself and others.
Rooted in feminist perspectives, the booklet frames self-care as a daily and political practice, made of small actions such as setting boundaries, slowing down, and paying attention to one’s body and environment.
