Description of the tool

The "Bit the Spectrum" project developed 21 Augmented Reality exercises using the features of the 3DBear App. These exercises are designed to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in developing their literacy, social, and emotional skills. The guide describes how to use these exercises in practice, overcoming the lack of knowledge and skills in using AR technologies for educators. The exercises aim to make learning more engaging and intuitive for students with ASD, facilitating the understanding of everyday actions and stimulating discussion on important topics such as loneliness and inclusion. These exercises are based on the Human-Centered Design Methodology developed within the project and were divided into five macro-categories focusing on the development of social, emotional, and professional autonomy, directly addressing the needs identified during the piloting phase with students from Luovi College, a project partner. Furthermore, the project also developed 8 virtual reality exercises, more focused on the professional sphere but accessible to everyone. Visit the website for more information
