Aims of the tool

Strengthening the employability of young people from geographically remote areas by enhancing their soft skills, digital and entrepreneurship competences and facilitating their access to the national, European, and global labour markets.

Description of the tool

The project Rural Rise: Boosting Youth Employment in Countryside (B.E.YOU) is implemented by ValueMe (BG) in partnership with GENTIS Foundation (ES) with the support of 5 associated partners (BG: Municipality of Gotze Delchev, Employment Agency Blagoevgrad, and ES: Municipality of Amposta and of La Senia, Cooperativa Terram SCCL Employment Agency).

The B.E.YOU project has enabled us to create the following deliverables:

- Non-formal training programme: designed to develop the capacities and skills of young people from remote areas, improving their employability. It includes the creation of a methodology, training materials, and delivery through both face-to-face and online training.

- Exchange of knowledge between stakeholders: collaboration between Bulgaria and Spain, involving the training of 24 trainers (12 from each country) to share experiences, best practices, and approaches for youth skill development.

- Piloting of Youth Development and Employment Network hubs (Y-DEN): two local hubs are established and tested as spaces where young people can access support, resources, and networking opportunities to enhance their development and employment prospects.

- Dissemination of the developed model: the project results and methodology are shared through a dedicated website and two final dissemination events, ensuring that the model reaches a wider audience and can be replicated or adapted elsewhere.
