A practical guide on mental health and wellbeing for youth work, featuring tools, activities, and reflections to support resilience, healthy habits, and self-awareness in young people.
The aim of this tool is to support youth workers and young people in understanding and promoting mental wellbeing by providing practical tools, reflective activities, and accessible information to build resilience, self-awareness, and healthy habits.
The tool can be used in youth work settings, workshops, group activities, or for individual self-development. It encourages active participation, reflection, and discussion, making it adaptable to different contexts and needs.
After using this tool, participants will be able to:
- Understand the concept of mental health and its importance in everyday life
- Recognize the role of habits such as movement, nutrition, and rest in supporting well-being
- Reflect on their own boundaries, emotions, and needs
Apply simple stress-management and mindfulness techniques
- Identify positive and negative habits that influence mental well-being
Increase awareness of mental health in different cultural and social contexts
- Develop practical strategies to support their own and others’ well-being
- Feel more confident in seeking help and supporting others
