A mentorship-based training programme helping primary teachers recognise and reduce classroom bias through practical tools, peer reflection, and inclusive teaching strategies, turning trained teachers into mentors for sustainable school-wide impact.
The MentorScape Mentorship Program is a structured, practice-oriented training framework designed to transform teachers into mentors who can support their colleagues in addressing bias in the classroom. Built on survey findings, unconscious bias analysis, and tested best practices, the programme combines training modules, classroom-ready tools, and peer mentoring approaches.
The programme includes a comprehensive curriculum covering bias awareness, self-reflection, inclusive teaching strategies, and mentorship skills. It is supported by practical tools such as reflection exercises, classroom observation checklists, and participation tracking methods. Mentors facilitate workshops, peer discussions, and observation-based feedback sessions, ensuring that learning is applied directly in classroom settings.
The approach emphasises continuous professional development through collaboration rather than one-time training. Teachers engage in reflective practice, test inclusive strategies, and support each other through structured mentoring activities.
Learning outcomes include:
Increased awareness of personal and systemic bias in education
Ability to apply practical tools to create inclusive classrooms
Improved skills in peer reflection, observation, and feedback
Capacity to facilitate mentoring and support colleagues
Development of a sustainable school culture focused on equity and inclusion
