Training programme based on the GreenComp framework that develops 12 key sustainability competences through practical activities, supporting youth in building green skills and responsible behaviour.
To equip learners with knowledge, skills and attitudes for sustainability, enabling them to think critically, act responsibly and implement practical solutions for environmental challenges.
The GreenComp-based training programme is a structured educational tool designed for youth workers, educators and organisations to develop sustainability competences through non-formal learning. It is built on the European GreenComp framework, which defines 12 key competences needed for a sustainable and responsible society.
The programme combines theoretical input with practical training sessions. Each competence is introduced through clear explanations and followed by interactive activities, workshops and real-life scenarios that help learners apply knowledge in practice. The content covers areas such as sustainability values, systems thinking, critical thinking, futures literacy, adaptability and collective action, ensuring a holistic understanding of environmental and social challenges.
The training emphasises active learning, reflection and participation. Learners are encouraged to analyse real-world environmental problems, explore innovative solutions and engage in collaborative actions. The programme also supports the use of digital tools and participatory methods to raise awareness and promote sustainable behaviour within communities.
