A set of 14 youth-created infographics explaining circular economy, 4R principles, CO₂ footprint and Zero Waste through data-based visuals, practical tips and digital tools, designed for non-formal learning and climate awareness.

Aims of the tool

The aim of this tool is to strengthen young people’s understanding of circular economy principles and the 4R approach while increasing awareness of individual and collective environmental impact. It supports the development of digital competences through data-based visualisation and encourages participants to translate environmental knowledge into practical, everyday sustainable actions.

Description of the tool

This learning tool consists of 14 scientifically grounded infographics developed by young participants within the “Smart Green Generation” project after completing structured workshops on circular economy, the 4R principle, Zero Waste strategies, CO₂ footprint calculation and digital environmental simulation tools. Working in international teams, participants transformed research findings and data from tools such as the CO₂ calculator and Earth Overshoot Day model into clear, visually engaging educational materials using Canva and Piktochart. Each infographic addresses a specific theme, including the comparison between linear and circular economic models, practical applications of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Repair, sustainable consumption habits, resource efficiency and the connection between individual behaviour and climate goals.

The tool strengthens participants’ understanding of environmental sustainability concepts and improves their ability to interpret and communicate environmental data in an accessible way. It enhances digital competences in visual content creation, critical thinking and teamwork in intercultural settings. At the same time, it supports the translation of theoretical knowledge into concrete everyday actions, making it suitable for youth exchanges, non formal education workshops, schools and environmental awareness activities as a practical and ready to use visual learning resource.
