Interactive learning tools on food ethics including an online video course and a role-play card game. They help learners explore ethical relationships in the food chain, sustainability, local production, and responsible consumption.
To raise awareness about food ethics and sustainability
To promote understanding of ethical relationships in the food chain
To encourage responsible consumption and support for local products
To provide engaging learning methods for vocational and youth education
The Food Ethics Learning Package is an innovative educational resource developed to introduce learners to the concept of food ethics and its relevance in today’s society.
It includes:
1️⃣ an online video course featuring experts such as farmers, chefs, restaurant owners, and psychologists
2️⃣ a card-based role-playing game that encourages discussion and decision-making
The tool explores topics such as trust in the food chain, sustainability, traceability, local economies, and responsible consumer behaviour.
Learning outcomes
Participants will:
Understand the concept of food ethics
Recognise the roles and responsibilities of food chain stakeholders
Analyse ethical dilemmas related to food production and consumption
Develop critical thinking about sustainability and local food systems
Increase awareness of responsible consumer choices
The tool can be used in formal education (especially VET) as well as in non-formal youth learning contex
