Two interactive learning tools introducing feminist theory and gender inequality in workspaces. Participants explore intersectionality, digital activism, and workplace bias through real-world examples and historical analysis.

Aims of the tool

The aim of this combined tool is to build foundational knowledge around feminist theory and workplace gender dynamics. It helps participants understand how gender norms, systemic structures, and historical inequalities continue to shape women's experiences in both public and private spheres. By examining both theoretical and practical dimensions of feminism and workplace discrimination, the tool prepares youth to critically engage in gender advocacy, leadership, and structural transformation.

Description of the tool

This educational package combines two complementary training presentations. The first explores the history and theory of feminism through its four waves, with an emphasis on intersectionality, sisterhood, and digital activism. The second focuses on gender inequality in the workplace, covering topics such as stereotypes, wage gaps, the motherhood penalty, and corporate best practices.
Together, these tools aim to equip participants with theoretical knowledge and practical awareness. They foster critical thinking about structural inequalities, provide real-world examples of exclusion and resistance, and promote active engagement in creating inclusive environments. Main outcomes:

Understand key feminist concepts, waves, and the role of intersectionality

Identify systemic barriers in workspaces (e.g. stereotypes, pay gaps, glass ceiling)

Analyze how gender roles shape opportunities and outcomes

Explore digital feminism and online resistance (#MeToo, #HeForShe)

Reflect on personal biases and organizational solutions for equality

Gain tools for advocacy, allyship, and institutional change
