Toolbox that contains non-formal learning activities, energizers, ice-breakers and team building activities for youth work on the topics of citizenship education, youth participation and intercultural learning.
1. To showcase and provide concrete methods and approaches for encouraging active participation of young people in democratic processes on all levels.
2. To promote citizenship education and a sense of European identity, contributing to the broader European agenda of unity and shared values.
3. To provide activities based on non-formal and experiential learning that can help youth workers actively engage and empower young people in their communities.
The Toolbox in the beginning provides energizers, ice-breakers and team building activities, however it's core are 6 non-formal learning and experiential activities on different topics that can support youth workers, young people and others to organise activities that address various social issues and enhance youth participation, intercultural learning and gaining or improvement of key competencies of young people.
The Toolbox includes detailed instructions for running the activities for different target groups in various contexts. Additionally each activity contains: summary of activities, themes covered, intended target group(s), aims & objectives, expected learning outcomes, intended group size and time, step-by-step instructions for facilitation, debriefing and evaluation questions, space requirements and training materials needed, notes and tips for facilitation, and if applicable additional information or appendixes.
The Toolbox was created by 27 participants of the Training course "Youth Activators",
organised in Krushevo, Macedonia from 18th to 25th of February 2025.
The Training course is part of a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme through the Macedonian National Agency for European educational programmes and mobility.
