Why this project
Reflection is the hinge on which non-formal learning turns — the learning cycle only closes if debriefing is done well — yet in practice it is often the most rushed, least structured part of a mobility programme. AI-supported prompting tools can help facilitators structure deeper reflection, but only when used as a supervised aid, never as a replacement for human facilitation and judgement.

Aim
To build youth workers' capacity to design and lead AI-supported, human-supervised reflection and debriefing processes.

Specific objectives
• Understand where AI tools genuinely strengthen reflective practice, and where they don't
• Co-design debriefing protocols that combine AI-generated prompts with facilitator judgement
• Address the ethical and data-protection questions raised by using AI in personal, reflective conversations

Activities
• Hands-on trials of AI-supported reflection tools
• Protocol co-design workshops
• Ethics and data-protection case studies
• Peer-supervised practice debriefs
• A closing session on adapting protocols to different age groups and contexts

Who should take part
Youth workers and facilitators who regularly run debriefing or reflection sessions within mobility or non-formal education programmes.

Partner profile we are looking for
Organisations that run youth mobility or non-formal learning programmes and want to strengthen the quality of their reflective practice.

Expected results & indicators
• At least one reusable debriefing protocol co-designed per partner delegation
• 80% of participants reporting increased confidence in facilitating structured reflection (Youthpass self-assessment)
• A shared ethics checklist for AI-supported reflection, usable across all partner organisations

EU priorities addressed: Digital transformation — responsible, human-supervised use of AI.
