FUNDACIÓN RAMÓN REY ARDID

Foundation Ramón Rey Ardid is a non-profit organization that was created in 1991 to attend the need of people affected by mental illness. After more than 20 years of experience our organization has grown and increased its social presence, by working with other collectives at risk of exclusion (older people, migrants, young people in difficulty, etc.).

The main goals are to achieve full social integration, to cover their basic needs and to improve both their quality of life and their relatives. To achieve these goals we developed different actions: training, awareness, leisure and recreation (open-door activities, visits, etc.), EVS, non formal education.

FRRA has established diverse agreements with official bodies and private institutions to develop assistance, prevention, rehabilitation, socio-professional integration and training activities.

Our values are: the Foundation´s activities are focused on people, it collaborates towards a sustainable development and environmental protection, it fights against the poverty and social inequality and it stimulates the social dialogue to solve community problems through the participation in different opinion forums.

Some of the actions we carry out are, for example, the empowerment of people with mental disability through the communication online, artistic activities and the involvement of young people, workshops for active aging, Spanish language courses for migrants, volunteering and activities for youth, etc.

In addition, we already carried out some European projects related to issues such as the incrementation of motivation and improvement of employability, education for young sentenced adults. Also, the Foundation is accredited as hosting and sending organization for EVS Programme.
