The main goal to settle Civil Forum Shida Kartli was to protect human rights, to involve youth In social activities and support them actively take part to solve local problems, non-formal education for youth and active citizens, to implement local and international projects, to support Georgian-Ossetian conflict solving process and charity activities in Shida Kartli region (Gori, Kareli, Kaspi and Khashuri Municipality)
To realize its goals and objectives Civil Forum Shida Kartli cooperates with local municipality and different state institutions. The most important issue is to involve IDPs, socially unprotected and disabled people to solve their problems.
The biggest priority for Civil Forum is to work actively with IDP youth, that is the reason why Shida Kartli office is situated in Gori, Verkhvebi IDP settlement. The target groups of Civil Forum are youth, disabled people, socially unprotected people and IDPs. Implemented and current activities mostly based on non-formal education tools.
Mission of the Organization:
- To protect human rights;
- To support development of the civil society;
- To support youth rights and freedom and develop their skills. To support their self-realization in the society;
- To support IDP youth integration with local society;
- To support local youth participation in the Erasmus plus mobility programs;
Target groups:
- Representatives of the local communities ;
- Youth with fewer opportunities and IDP’s background
- Local municipalities and coalitions
- Other vulnerable groups
This project it's a way to foster a culture of Human Rights in youth and has a pivotal role to building up a social change towards a more equal society.
