Training for EVS Trainers from EECA Region

Training for EVS Trainers from EECA Region aims at increasing the quality and organizational potential of EVS trainings for volunteers in Eastern Europe and Caucasus Region.

Date and Venue

Training for EVS Trainers from EECA Region took place between 15-23 September, 2007 in Crimea, Ukraine.

Objectives were

  • Deepening the knowledge about the European Voluntary Service (EVS);
  • Experience exchange in organising and providing EVS trainings, especially on-arrival, but also pre-departure, mid-term and evaluation meetings;
  • Development of skills and competencies in providing EVS trainings;
  • Development of Pool of EVS Trainers in EECA region;
  • Improvement of the EVS trainings system in EECA Region;

Participants

TC brought together experienced EVS trainers representing organisations active in the EVS hosting projects in EECA region.

Participants fulfilled following criteria

  • representing organisations active in the EVS hosting projects in EECA region

  • experience in providing EVS trainings (especially on-arrival)
  • active participation and contribution during the full duration of the TC;
  • ability to communicate in English;

Working language was English

Team of the trainers

The team was composed of experts from the field of EVS trainings and cooperation with EECA Partner Countries as well as excellent knowledge of the European Community Youth in Action Programme, in particular Action 2.
