Boardgame
The FINEYOU board game is an interactive tool for 3–6 players to learn key financial concepts like budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management. It builds practical money skills through play, using financial sheets to track decisions and progress.
The FINEYOU board game aims to deliver a gamified learning experience that replaces traditional lectures with engaging, interactive gameplay. Players navigate realistic financial scenarios—such as managing income, handling expenses, making investments, and planning for the future—allowing them to apply key financial concepts in a safe, risk-free environment. Designed as a flexible educational tool, it can be used as a standalone financial literacy module or integrated into subjects like economics, business, or life skills. The game encourages reflection through follow-up exercises to reinforce lessons learned, while group play sessions foster teamwork, discussion, and critical thinking.
The FINEYOU board game is an engaging educational tool designed for 3-6 players to learn essential financial literacy concepts interactively. It integrates into workshops, helping young people master financial principles such as net worth calculation, budgeting, tracking income and expenses, strategic investments, debt management, and understanding economic cycles. Players use personal financial sheets to monitor their financial decisions and progress, fostering practical skills in personal finance management and strategic decision-making.
The FineYou game uses five distinct card decks - each designed to teach a core financial concept through play:
-Education Cards teach that investing in your skills pays off over time. Players see how delaying immediate gains can lead to consistently higher income later.
-Investment Cards show the real-world trade-offs of risk and reward. Players learn to diversify, read market signals, and understand that timing and strategy directly impact long-term wealth.
-Debt Cards iIllustrate the benefits and pitfalls of borrowing. They reinforce the lesson that debt can boost opportunity—but only if managed with discipline and planning.
-Lifestyle Choices Cards highlight the power of opportunity cost. These cards force players to weigh short-term pleasure against their bigger financial goals, teaching restraint and mindful spending.
-Economic Cycle Cards demonstrate how external forces affect your finances. Success depends on adapting to changing economic conditions and staying flexible.
Through hands-on, scenario-based gameplay, FINEYOU teaches essential financial skills in a practical and engaging way. Players will learn to define money and understand its role in creating and representing value. They’ll track income and expenses using a personal financial sheet that includes lifestyle costs, education investments, and debt repayments. The game emphasizes planning and prioritization by guiding players to set 3–5 year financial goals, apply the “3-Yes Rule” to spending decisions, and build a personal prosperity fund. Participants will also explore strategies for saving, investing, and diversifying, gaining insight into how economic cycles affect returns. Smart debt management is a key focus, showing players how to use and repay loans strategically. Throughout the game, players reinforce lifelong financial habits by reflecting on their choices and tracking progress. A core learning objective is to help players establish and grow a personal prosperity fund—learning to “pay yourself first” and seeing how disciplined saving and compounding build long-term financial security.Further instructions can be found in the attached documents.
