Handbook for Youth Workers on topics of media literacy and critical thinking for young migrants in particular and young people in general

Aims of the tool

To support youth workers who work particularly with young migrants, but also young people in general in promoting media literacy/multiliteracies and critical thinking online.

Description of the tool

The Digital 4 All Toolbox is comprised of the Digital 4 All Handbook for youth workers, as well as the Digital 4 All online curriculum and accompanying materials.

The Handbook aims to be an entry point to the training and teaching of online multiliteracies and critical thinking online for youth workers who are working with young people in general and young migrants in particular.

The online curriculum is an online course for young migrants and young people to improve their skills and awareness on todays online challenges through four modules:

Module 1: Young Migrants’ Current Digital Skills & Strategies
Module 2: Multiliteracy
Module 3: Identifying Fake News & Critical Thinking
Module 4: Tiny Habits

Each of the four modules has accompanying teaching materials for youth workers to support the young people on their learning path. The knowledge gained in each module is tested through a quiz, and at the end of the four modules the participants receive a certificate of completion.

The online curriculum is availabie here: https://digital4all-project.eu/elearning/courses/digital4all-learning-course/

Additionally, we are sharing here the findings of our international report on media literacy among young migrants.

All materials, including the handbook and curriculum are available in Arabic English, German, Greek, Portuguese, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian on the project's website: https://digital4all-project.eu/
