Work experience
I founded and led a successful NGO named PiNA (www.pina.si), based in Koper, Slovenia, for the past 12 years. The organization had 15 employees and various programmes and projects focused on: Youth, Active Citizenship and Participation, Culture and Creativity, Sustainable Development and Migration.
Apart from leading the organization, I worked as a freelance trainer. I was part of the team that established the Pool of Trainers of the Youth Council of Slovenia; co-authored various publications on youth work and non-formal education; and led several training programmes in Europe and in third countries on topics such as youth participation, green entrepreneurship, media literacy, and cooperation for development. Since 2012 I´m a member of the NA pool of trainers working on ECS and support trainings for projects and quality. I have worked as a trainer for the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe, UNESCO and the European Commission, and have planned and conducted various train-the-trainers courses across Europe.
I have extensive experience in working in the east and southeast Europe youth cooperation field.
Currently, my main focus is on leadership development both inside and outside the youth sector.
Educational pathway
I have a bachelors degree in Psychology, and I am about to conclude my Masters in Management for Sustainable Development.
I concluded a 6-month professional course in Project Management in 2009.
I attended an intensive training with Birgit Fritz on Theatre of The Oppressed in 2007, and have since continued my education with workshops on Drama Pedagogy led by Roberto Mazzini, Ivana Marjančič, and others. Drama Pedagogy is my main approach to work and view of education since then, though I also deliver input-based training and facilitation where appropriate.
I was part of the African University for Youth Development and the Training for Trainers for Youth Cooperation led by the NSC CoE.
I attended various trainings in the field of youth work, participation, and democracy.
I`m competent to train trainers in the Loesje creative writing method.
