TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for George Moulas
One important goal of the project was to educate participants on skills that would aid in the integration of refugees.
Through non-formal education, youth workers found themselves in the shoes of refugees and learned about how they are being treated and integrated into society today.
Other goals included:
-Raising awareness of migration processes and awareness of its benefits for Europe
-Promoting continuity and understanding of young people towards refugees and migrants
-Promotion of tolerance, mutual understanding, solidarity, and intercultural dialogue
Romania, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Slovakia
Throughout the program, the group actively participated in non-formal education. With the use of energizers, participants were urged to be social and active. Workshops and team-building activities are designed to pique participants' interest in the topic and aid in their comprehension of the present refugee crisis.
Additionally, debates, lectures, and conversations were used to gauge how well participants understood various human rights concepts and theoretical stances.
We anticipated that participants would be able to change their mindset and behavior as engaged citizens as a result of this initiative, resulting in the benefits of :
• Awareness of the Situation of Migrants and Migration as a global phenomenon
• Inspiration and Empowerment for Cooperation on European Level
• Intercultural Exchange and Peer-Learning
• European Citizenship
• Tolerance and Solidarity
Along with the organization's founder and project manager, I served as a co-trainer on the project.
The activity has been implemented like it is described above
