Aims & objectives

Aim:

The aim of this training course is to develop a supportive ecosystem for women’s economic participation by overcoming social obstacles through youth work.

Objectives:

Raise awareness about the reality of women entrepreneurs and explore best practices and lessons learned (good examples of practice) in supporting women’s economic participation.
Showcase examples of socially responsible private sector organisations supporting women’s empowerment.
Develop competences and provide practical tools to increase effectiveness in women’s entrepreneurship programmes.
Inspire participants for a continuous professional and personal growth.

Outcomes of the activity

Objective 1: Raise awareness about the reality of women entrepreneurs and explore best practices and lessons learned (good examples of practice) in supporting women’s economic participation.
There were diverse activities were social awareness about women entrepreneurship difficulties were raised, specifically focusing on the main challenges that use to make this challenge such a difficult option.
On the other side, also some particular experiences (good practices) where shared throw external speakers that brought an open dialogue to discuss about the kind of services or support that can be helpful for encouraging women to raise business.
Objective 2: Showcase examples of socially responsible private sector organizations supporting women’s empowerment.
During one complete afternoon participants could discover a small part of Tbilisi visiting some private organizations, companies that had a direct connection with women entrepreneurship, as they were experiences or led by women or social services provided to women who want to become entrepreneurs. It was an inspiring experience for most of the participants that had the chance to exchange ideas, share doubts, etc.
Objective 3: Develop competences and provide practical tools to increase effectiveness in women’s entrepreneurship programs.
A big part of the training course was invested in the development of specific skills and competences of participants. Most of them were inspired by the EntreComp framework, that was a great support in order to make an understandable itinerary of competences that should be acquired for entrepreneurship.
Diverse tools, dynamics but also team work was developed to assure the understanding of skills and competences, and also the complexity of defining a complete project or business.
Diverse models to design social projects or businesses were also shared and experience by practical workshops.
Objective 4: Inspire participants for a continuous professional and personal growth.
All the training process was bringing ideas, proposals and methods in order to increase participants' capacities both to promote women entrepreneurship among their potential beneficiaries, but also to increase their own role as social workers, youth workers interested or even as entrepreneurs themselves. All the orientation of the content, dynamics, based in a high percentage on the EntreComp framework, was focused on the growth of competences for the future actions and implication of participants in the subject of the TC.
Final reflection form and evaluation meeting among trainers and organizers were used to analyze the results of the training.
