Youth Tools Residencies

Aims & objectives

To improve youth workers’ competencies in designing, testing and adapting youth work tools to the needs of Generations Z and Alpha. The project also aims to help youth workers better understand young people’s behaviour, interests, mental health, digital habits and use of AI, with special attention to young people facing challenges and fewer opportunities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The project brought together 52 youth workers, including participants with fewer opportunities, from 7 countries: Czechia, France, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Poland, Latvia and Hungary.

Training methods used & main activities

The activity used practical exercises, research activities, mapping, testing and adaptation of youth work tools, exchange of good practices, peer learning and group work.

Outcomes of the activity

The activity resulted in a practical step-by-step guide for creating youth work tools, a Tool Map, and an information brief about Generation Alpha. Participants also created or improved tools adapted to the needs of Generations Z and Alpha and shared them through local workshops, online webinars and other dissemination activities.
