Youth 2.0

Aims & objectives

The main purpose of our project is; Increasing the quality of youth activities and promoting the personal and professional development of young people through the spread of the use of WEB 2.0 tools. Our specific targets are;
- Adopting the conscious use of the Internet,
- Supporting digital literacy,
- Extending the use of Web 2.0 tools in project preparation, execution, implementation and dissemination processes in youth work,
- Promoting intercultural dialogue,
- The promotion of Erasmus Plus program opportunities and support of innovative projects.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The target group of the activity are youngsters, youth workers, volunteers, trainers and instructors. A total of 26 participants from Spain, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey attended the training course.

Training methods used & main activities

The training course has been an experiential learning process in which the participants can be actively involved. The participants, who met and mingled with traditional games at the beginning of our activities, had experience about the place and importance of WEB 2.0 tools in youth activities. Tools such as visual product creation tools, video production, tools to support a healthy lifestyle and personal development, tools for project preparation, execution and dissemination, social media management and content production, online education tools, alternative evaluation tools were experienced. In our training course, activities were carried out to encourage participants from different cultures to get to know different cultures together and to support the development of intercultural dialogue.

Outcomes of the activity

The expected learning outcomes of our participants from our training course and local dissemination activities are as follows:

- Experiencing innovative methods and techniques that they can use in youth work,
- Seeing developed youth work methods and practices to actively involve young people,
- Having experience with non-formal education method techniques and tools,
- Experiencing social, linguistic and cultural diversity and understanding its importance,
- Increasing the capacity to respond to the needs of disadvantaged people,
- Raising awareness about professional development and career development,
- Developing foreign language proficiency,
- Starting to provide more motivation and satisfaction in youth work,
- Developing increased entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit,
- The development of self-control and the development of self-evaluation skills,
- Gaining information about healthy lifestyles and healthy living principles,
- Developing the ability to organize events and produce products by working with the group,
- Increasing personal development and self-confidence
- Strengthening intercultural awareness,
- Increasing active social participation,
- Raising awareness of EU citizenship and EU values,
- Learning the details and opportunities about Erasmus Plus projects,
- Developing long-term international cooperation with established international partnerships,
- Taking initiatives to develop innovative sustainable projects,
- It is aimed to recognize different geographies.

As the output of our training course;
- An Instagram page titled "Cool Tools for Youth" was created,
- Many Web 2.0 tools and projects developed by the participants using these tools were shared on this page,
- Participants recorded their experiences throughout the course and shared them through various Web 2.0 tools (Instagram, Tik Tok, Canva, Youtube, various video and photo editing programs).
- 19 evaluation reports were received

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was one of the trainers who were responsible for organising the training days and leading the energizers, the day starting, team building, ice breaking, etc. exercises and interpreting for the local trainers.

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
