Aims & objectives

* Description. It is one of series of 5 training courses “YOUrope needs YOU!”. These training courses are kind of Training for Trainers for people from different NGOs, different countries, faculties, the main aim of the training is to empower high schools students all over Europe: to encourage youth workers to work with high school students and to affect younger generation to be active in society. Objectives: increase the practical knowledge about Europe; create a multiply effect of the project; increase the exchange of information about possibilities for high school students; promote active European citizenship, promote active participation, promote European union values, promote and to encourage young people use Non-formal education methodology and adequate methods, introduce methods of team building, ice braking, different learning styles, training system; promote and encourage young people work voluntary, to make * Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team:
Target group - young leaders, youth workers, universities students, and future multipliers.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

International/intercultural composition – the group consisted of 20 participants from Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Lithuania, Russia, Netherlands, Romania and Azerbaijan. The team of trainers gathered 3 trainers from different countries: Netherlands, Poland and Lithuania (me).

Training methods used & main activities

* Training methods used: Methodology - Non-formal education. The trainings were given with emphasis on interactive workshops and group work using various methods: such as ice breaking games, team building, brainstorming, group discussions, goldfish bowl, drawing & cartooning, collage, feedback rounds, debriefing, role play, trust games, informational input, sharing in pairs, simulation games, thematic video watching, role play games and handouts were given in the end of the project.


Outcomes of the activity

* Outcomes of the activity: Participant became aware of differences in working with youth groups age 15-18; capable to plan, run and evaluate a cycle of workshops in high schools; capable to facilitate discussions about topics related to Europe; capable to share possible benefits of being active in society.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

* Tasks and responsibilities: My tasks and responsibilities were shared with other 2 colleagues. Some sessions I was leading as a principal trainer, other sessions I was as a co-trainer. My responsibilities were to prepare, lead and facilitate some sessions, develop methods.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
