Aims & objectives

Project "Young Entrepreneurs in Action: Discovering Means of Beating Unemployment" was a 7 day training course for youth workers and youth leaders. The main aim of the project was to introduce entrepreneurship as a tool of fighting youth unemployment.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The project is organized and executed in Valkla Rand, Estonia with 27 participants from Cyprus, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania and Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

Participants explored the topics of unemployment and entrepreneurship via NFL methods. In addition to NFL methodology that was applied in the theme sessions, participants were engaged in an ongoing self-reflection process during the training.

Outcomes of the activity

During the training the people who work directly with youth (who are either current of future job- seekers) learned how to introduce the idea of entrepreneurship to young people, how to motivate them to be pro-active and how to support them during the process of applying entrepreneurial approach into career development.
