Aims & objectives

The main purpose of the training course was to strengthen partner organizations' capacities, mostly by developing competences of youth workers and youth leaders involved in them.
Participants were provided with tested non-formal education tools and methods that help them to boost youth participation among young people from their communities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

16 youth workers, leaders, facilitators, municipality representatives responsible for youth from Tuchów- Poland, Košice- Slovakia, Český Těšín- Czech Republic, and Göd- Hungary

Outcomes of the activity

Participants understood how to use focus groups to identify young people's needs, prioritize among them, and communicate the results in a non-violent way. The concept of the structural dialogue was clarified, and its main characteristics were emphasized. Practical tips and personal experience with structural dialogue were shared. Best practices on how to establish cooperation with municipalities were discussed.

Participants extended their knowledge on:
- the concept of the participatory budget
- creating a Conception for youth work in cooperation with the local/regional municipality
- how the youth council can be involved in the public decisions on municipality level

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
