Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The participants involved came from Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Romania, many of which were members of the administrations of associations or operators active in the field of active youth policies, many are partners with whom we have carried out several projects in the course of which we have discussed many times the need to carry out training dedicated to the management of the same and related activities.

Training methods used & main activities

1. Brainstorming: A method in which participants generate ideas on a specific topic without judgment. It is useful to stimulate creativity and generate new perspectives.

2. Role-playing: This technique involves participants in playing specific roles to simulate real situations. It is effective for practicing interpersonal skills and developing empathy.

3. Practical workshops: Hands-on activities that allow participants to directly experiment with the concepts discussed. For example, scientific laboratories or practical programming exercises.

4. Game-based activities: Games or play activities incorporating learning elements. They can include quizzes, educational board games or online simulations.

5. Discussion Groups: Structured sessions where participants discuss a specific topic, share opinions and learn from other participants.

6. Group projects: Activities involving participants in working together to complete a project. This promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and collaborative learning.

Outcomes of the activity

For a training course on social entrepreneurship, it is important to use activities that involve participants significantly, encouraging critical reflection, collaboration and the practical application of the concepts learned. Here are some examples of activities that could be successful in such a course:

1. Case study: Case study analysis of successful social entrepreneurs, examining the challenges they have faced, the innovative solutions they have adopted and the impact they have generated. This provides inspiration and practical insight.

2.Brainstorming for business ideas: Sessions where participants generate ideas for social entrepreneurial projects, identifying problems in the community and proposing innovative solutions.

3.Pitching simulations: Participants can develop and submit pitches for social business projects, simulating a contest-like context or a meeting with investors.

4. Collaborations with local organizations: Working closely with local social organizations to address real problems in the community. This gives participants the opportunity to directly apply what they have learned and to see the impact of their actions.

5. Skills development workshops: Practical sessions aimed at developing specific skills needed to start and manage a social enterprise, such as strategic planning, financial management and effective communication.

6. Networking activities: Opportunity for participants to connect with other social entrepreneurs, industry experts and potential partners. This promotes the exchange of ideas, collaboration and mutual support.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I played the role of trainer, with a team of 3 trainers, a logist, and a support to the preparation of activities.
In addition to being a trainer for the initial team building, I focused on supporting the participants in the development of their ideas about the problems encountered.
In particular, I used the tools of graphic facilitation to facilitate the exchange of information and the internal evolution of training.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
