"Wanna Be Healthy" is an Erasmus+ KA1 Mobility of Youth Workers Training Course. Alcohol addiction is a very important common problem. It is very harmful for families and the society. It is the source of so many problems. There are some precautions towards alcohol addiction but these precautions cannot stop consuming too much of it.
In this context, the owerall aim of the project is to prepare new youth projects together with the young people and youth representatives against alcohol addiction which gives a lot of harm to the people with its physical, physchological and social affects and which gives negative harm to the society, economy and to the development of the country.
The concrete objectives of the roject are as follows :
- To generate new projects which will lead to lessen the alcohol addiction among the youngsters with the participation of young people and youth workers
- To increase the collaboration about alcohol addiction among the youngsters, youth workers and the institutions which works for young people in Europe
- To ensure the active participation of young people about disseminating the idea of living without alcohol
- To make the youngsters and youth workers conscious about the harm of alcohol.
- To strengthen the European awareness among the youngsters by finding common solutions to the common problems
- To encourage the entrepreneurship of young people by giving them active roles
In the training course, there were 30 participants from Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Poland, Italy, Hungary and Turkey.
In the training I used the following methods: Name games, team building games, icebreakers, self-reflection, country presentations (group work) on the facts of the alcohol addiction, excursion to the public institution which help people who are suffering from alcohol addiction, case study on films about the facts of alcohol addiction and discussions on the films, case study and discussions on succes stories about overcoming the addiction, role plays about addicted people and debriefing on them, quiz show about the terminology of the addiction, simulations on designing youth projects about fighting against alcohol addiction.
The participants have a lot of knowledge of the facts of the harms of the alcohol addiction. They know how to work with the young people who are suffering from the alcohol addiction. They generated youth exchanges and training courses about how to fight against addiction and how to help the addicts and they designed activities how to deal with this problem as an NGO.
I was the trainer and the facilitator in the training course during full 5 days.
