Visegrad Countries’ Experience in Transformation for Shida Kartli region of Georgia

Aims & objectives

In addition, sharing the Visegrad states’ experience and knowledge in cooperation between public and civil sectors, in fundraising and in networking and making contacts would be very valuable and useful.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Project had implemented in Shida Kartli region, which is situated in the centre of Georgia and includes five municipality. Shida Kartli was main battleground during the 2008 war with Russian Federation and now borders the conflict zone.
Project implementation will be divided into the several phases. The project prepared and realized by Slovakian, Polish, Hungarian and Georgian experts who are working with regional and local govenments and have experiences in the European project activities.

Training methods used & main activities

Firstly, a workshop will take place in Georgia, during which representatives of partner organizations will draw out future steps and principles of cooperation. On the next step, partner organizations from Visegrad countries will select trainers and in the same time, applicant organization will select project participants. Afterwards, training with a duration of 10 days will be conducted, in which approximately 30 employees of local authorities and civic organizations will take part. After the end of the training, participants will be divided in 2 or 3 working group and during the one month will prepare concrete projects to apply European Funds. Final step will be a conference, which summarize the project result, also, the prepared projects will be presented. Beside the project participants, invited persons from governmental bodies.

Outcomes of the activity

We started a new network between the local and regional NGOs and the governmental bodies. The participants made a complex plan to use the future founding possibilities for their development.
We were talking about online tools (Linkedin, Twitter, Wix, Infogr.am etc.), why they are useful, how they can use it. We were talking about possibilites inside Erasmus+ (youth exchanges, EVS, trainings) and we gave basic information about these opportunities.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Preparation of the project and the content of the training activities. Implementation of the project management part of the training as Erasmus +, Extended V4, cooperation between governmental bodies and NGOs.
