Video Making for NGO's

Aims & objectives

The main purpose of ‘Video Making for NGO's’ is to develop the video-making and promotional competencies of youth/social workers.

Objectives:
-To improve youth worker's knowledge on how to create a story, deliver a clear message online,
creating a storyboard, copyrights, and basics of video-making.
-To improve youth worker's skills on video-making, editing and publishing videos online.
-To develop youth worker's empathy towards people with fewer opportunities, in order to make a
positive change in their NGOs and communities
-To improve youth worker's confidence in digital competencies and increased their usage in daily
work.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

24 youth workers, teachers, facilitators, youth leaders, mentor and project coordinators from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Finland, France, Greece, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Ukraine.

Training methods used & main activities

The training course was based on non-formal education approaches, as well as practical and action-oriented. Participants learned the basics of video-making and were able to put knowledge and skills gained into practice by creating promotional videos for several Kuusamo charities (learning by doing).

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the co-trainer in this activity, together with my colleague Javi Quilez we developed the program, methodology and facilitated the sessions during the training course

I worked on this training for 7 days days as a full time trainer.
