“UNCHARTED – The journey to self-discovery” was a Training Course designed as a journey into yourself with the purpose to discover lights and shadows inside you, empower your hidden resources of self-awareness, resilience, motivation, stress management and social and emotional skills.
Why this TC?
The pandemic showed clearly, all over the world, how fragile we are without our “certain” life, role, routine, social contacts.
The lockdown challenged all of us, youth especially, on the psychological level and we saw the impact on mental health with increasing rates of anxiety, depression, mental diseases.
This Training offered a path of reflection on ourselves and a guide to self-empowerment and self-awareness, just like an answer to the fragility, pain and diseases we faced in these months, in order to build stronger selves for the future and to develop skills to support the youth we work with.
The frame of the Training is to be seen like a “hero’s journey”process, where each participant, like the Hero, will have a journey in 4 steps (self-awareness, confrontation, self-acceptance and integration) with many activities aiming to develop physical, emotional, spiritual and rational sides.
The TC will have a ring composition: starting from a venue, being away for outdoor activities in 2 central days and coming back to the starting venue.
The contact with nature will be a strong healing item in the project.
24 participants: 3 from each of the 8 partners: Belgum, Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece, Netherlands, Latvia.
