TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

The aim of this training that was part of the ToT for Youth in Action 2013-2014, was to explore the opportunities of social entrepreneurship in Erasmus+ and also the opportunities of Erasmus+ for social entrepreneurs, especially in the transnational youth initiatives.
The objectives included learning what is social economy and social entrepreneurship, learning about the opportunities of Erasmus+, networking for future project development and introducing tools for project development.

from YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAMME COUNTRIES
Mainly, Youth workers, Youth leaders, Project managers, Youth Policy Makers, Multipliers and other actors working on the topic of entrepreneurship and inclusion of youth (in the labour market).
The team consisted of trainers from Romania/Sweden, Finland, Greece and Spain, who met and developed the training during the Training of Trainers for Youth in Action.
Non-formal methods (such as group building, world café and a study visit) were used to create a framework for linking social entrepreneurship and Erasmus + with the aim of responding to community social needs.
The course promoted alternative social economic mind sets to inspire creativity, innovation, motivation and risk taking in order to encourage social action amongst young people and supporting them in turning social needs into transnational youth initiatives.
The tools presented during the course can be further used with groups of youngster with the purpose of identifying and finding solutions to community needs, understand the project cycle management and finding innovative ways of transforming the social needs in transnational youth initiatives and later into social entrepreneurial ventures.
The group became a strong network and started developing several projects during the TC. The training managed to bring together social entrepreneurs and youth workers in creating new opportunities for young people.
