Aims & objectives

The aim of this training that was part of the ToT for Youth in Action 2013-2014, was to explore the opportunities of social entrepreneurship in Erasmus+ and also the opportunities of Erasmus+ for social entrepreneurs, especially in the transnational youth initiatives.
The objectives included learning what is social economy and social entrepreneurship, learning about the opportunities of Erasmus+, networking for future project development and introducing tools for project development.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The team consisted of four trainers from Romania/Sweden, Finland, Greece and Spain, who met and developed the training during the Training of Trainers for Youth in Action.
Te participants were from several different European countries, with interests towards youth work and social economy.

Training methods used & main activities

The training used non formal education methods such as group building, world café and a study visit. All with the aim of creating a common understanding of social economy and social entrepreneurship.

Outcomes of the activity

The group became a strong network and started developing several projects during the TC. The presentations from the Swedish and French NA about the opportunities of transnational youth initiatives explained the restrictions of that particular action, but the participants were encouraged to look at alternative actions within the program. The training managed to bring together social entrepreneurs and youth workers in creating new opportunities for young people.
