Truth Seekers

Aims & objectives

The main objective of the project "Truth Seekers" is to train youth workers, youth leaders and people active in the youth field in critical thinking and to improve their media literacy, and they in turn to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their work with young people, with the help of non-formal education.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants were 33 youth workers, youth leaders, youth mediators and in general people active in the youth field, representing 10 youth organisations – hosting organization “Youth Spectrum” from Denmark, Bulgarian “Academy of Success, “Next Generation” North Macedonia, “Hawkstars” from Portugal, YEU Cyprus, Italian “Oriel”, “Tavo Europa” from Lithuania, ICSD Greece and Youth Season Turkey.

Training methods used & main activities

The activity was based on the methods and tools of non-formal education. The approach of the TC was learner-oriented, with learners taking a central role in the learning process.

Outcomes of the activity

"Truth Seekers" had an extremely positive impact on the participants, the partner organizations and the main target group - the young people they work with at local and national level.
