Aims & objectives

The core of the training is about developing competences and immediately applicable procedures to handle conflicts constructively, creating connection and learning. The content of the course covered the following areas: empathy, nonviolent communication process, expressing your position, mediation, making agreements, and offered a space for more than 5hours of practice. The methodology used is experiential learning, so learning by doing and by experiencing, so that the teachers can prepare themselves to apply the new skills in their own school contexts.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

This was an activity under Erasmus+, KA1 – Mobility project for school education staff. The participants were from Romania, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. The organising team members were from Italy, Greece, Poland, Spain, and Estonia.

Training methods used & main activities

The activities included experiential methods, role-playing, lectures, reflection sessions, body movement sessions, and mediation practice.

Outcomes of the activity

Apart from the very positive feedback and impact measurement which was carried out at the end of the course, our participants shared activities and examples that they implemented at their schools after being inspired from the course.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was the project manager and co-trainer. Together with my colleague we designed and delivered the whole program, with the support of a three-person team.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
