„Training of Trainers in YOUTH WORK“

in Tbilisi, Georgia
organised by Ministry of Justice of Georgia & Institute for Policy research and analysis
5-8 of June, 2012

Aims & objectives

Aim:
To provide participants with youth worker competences, enabling them to run youth work activities, based on fundamental values of youth worker.

Objectives
Create understanding of main youth work principles and values;
To develop understanding on impact of Non-formal and informal education to personal and social development of young person;
Increase understanding of psychology & life of a young person;
To develop competence of empowering young people to act;

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

10 Georgian participants (prosecutors, project managers, youth project managers).
2 Lithuanian trainers.

Training methods used & main activities

Simulation, group work, meta-reflection, input & presentations.
Working topics: individual youth work; planing educational activities; socio-cultural aspects of youth work; aspects of youth age psychology; working with youth groups of youth, non-formal education, value education and leadership.

Outcomes of the activity

10 trained staff of Ministry of Justice of Georgia after the training course run multiplying event - doing local training courses on how to work with young people. Implement existing and develop new programs for the Ministry to involve youth.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Developing, implementing the educational activity and reporting.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
