- To equip organizations with little or no experience in EVS projects with knowledge and skills in running projects in the framework of European Voluntary Service (EVS) Programme.
- To create a responsible attitude and raise awareness among participants about the importance of good preparation in each EVS project, which is able to avoid many of possible further problems and challenges.
- To develop a critical thinking skills among participants and discuss the possible challenges while doing EVS projects – with special emphasis of challenges while hosting/sending volunteers for the first time and doing projects with EECA countries.
- To motivate participants and raise their confidence in organising EVS projects between Programme and Partner countries from EECA.
- To work out implementable hosting projects together.
5.) My role:
Participants: 25 participants from 9 countries (EECA and Programme countries) - representatives from organizations with little or no experience in EVS. Team: Latvian trainer (me), Georgian trainer, 2 representatives from hosting organization and 1 representative from applicant organization.
- Presentations, workshops, discussions, work in groups
- Role plays and simulation excersize
- Case studies, getting to know good/bad practices
- Study visit to current hosting organizations
- Partnership building activities
- Working out of EVS projects
- Intercultural evenings
- Increased understanding on how to implement good quality EVS projects, paying special emphasis on preparation phase and specifics of making projects involving EECA countries.
- Development of partnerships (not only in the framework of EVS).
- Worked-out implementable EVS project ideas (several projects have been implemented already).
The creation of the concept of the training, preperation, implementation (as one of 2 trainers) and evaluation/follow-up activities.
