Aims & objectives

Aim:
to support work of youth organizations around Europe in combating discrimination and promotion of cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue.
Objectives:
• to train youth workers and activists in intercultural leaning and anti-discrimination education
• to extend competences of youth workers and activists in work in multicultural environments with minority youth.
• to empower participants to implement projects on combating discrimination and racism for young people and act as trainers and multipliers;
• to exchange experience and good practice of projects on combating racism and promotion diversity and tolerance
• to provide broad understanding of European processes in the field of combating racism and promotion diversity and tolerance

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants from 12 countries (members of the Council of Europe and signed Cultural Convention) - youth workers, leaders and activists who work with young people on the voluntary and payment basis.

Training methods used & main activities

During training course we used non-formal education methods: icebreakers, group activities, exercises, role games, presentations, debriefing.

Outcomes of the activity

Developed networking between participants, supporting for development of EMYN - European Minority Youth Network.
On the end of activity participant presented 5 partnership projects.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was full-time trainer in this activity, supported by European Youth Foundation Council of Europe.

I worked on this training for 5 days days as a full time trainer.
