Train the Trainers

Aims & objectives

This was a Train the Trainers seminar aiming to develop next generation trainers in the AIESEC network.

Trainers are essential part of AIESEC, because they transmit the accumulated know-how and values of the organization and any custom skills. They also identify training needs and create tailored training for these skills.

The topics we covered there were varying from introduction to the organizational values to concrete training skills, such as effective presentation, training methods, group dynamics and so on.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

In this training we had 5 trainers from 3 countries - Bulgaria, Columbia and Panama and the participants were 20+ people from different AIESEC countries.

Training methods used & main activities

We were using lecture format in some cases, also discussions, group assignments, get to know games, energizers and an actual training simulation part in which the participants were tested to develop and deliver a mini-training.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants were satisfied with this training and when they've returned to their local offices they've immediately started implementing the newly learnt know-how

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was responsible for conducting several training sessions with theoretical and practical parts during the first days and to facilitate the simulation part at the end

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
