Aims & objectives

This project “Together in Europe: Vision of the young generations – Labor migration” aims to address the many faces of the migration and their ethical, legal and social problematic. The effects of the remittances and diaspora investment will be addressed, as well as the role of migrant civil society. Labor migration – whether in so-called high or low – skilled jobs – will receive special attention. And finally, the problem of forced migration will be discussed.

The training activities aimed to initiate political discussions and actions on a local level among the transboundary area of Albania-FYROM-Greece, while enhancing the capacity of youth workers and youngsters in this area. The project is funded by the Friedrich-Ebert- Stiftung through its offices in FYROM, Albania and Greece

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The targeted group was organizations which are addressing the issue of youth unemployment; this classification included universities, trade unions and NGOs. The origin of the participants was mixed; six persons from each of the three countries (Albania-FYROM-Greece).

Training methods used & main activities

The project included a set of training activities which are held once every semester in a different country. All of the activities are based in informal learning, therefore methods as role play, group work, visual games, swot analysis and mind trap were used.

Outcomes of the activity

The project familiarized the participants with the topic and developed a network among the participants. The aim of the network is the mutual cooperation in order to enhance the capacity of the participants, while mitigating the youth unemployment challenge.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My tasks were to coordinate and prepare the Greek team when the training was abroad. When the training was in Greece (Thessaloniki), I had to organize the workshop by cooperating with one German colleague. So I formulated the agenda, communicated and selected the participants along with the contact persons in each country and co-conducted the workshop.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
