Aims & objectives

“Think and Live Green (TALE)” aims to improve the skills, attitudes and knowledge of youth workers regarding climate
change, environmental education and the EU Green Deal, as a way to empower them to reach out and work with young
people on environmental issues through the use of Non-Formal Education methods and tools.
TALE is a 9-month project aimed at giving youth workers and young people the instruments and competencies to become
an active part in the fight against climate change and to contribute to raising awareness among their peers and in the
general public on environmental issues through the use of Non-Formal Education tools.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The TC was participated by 15 youth workers (3 per partner organisation), aged 25+.

Partners organisation:
- Italy
- The Republic of North Macedonia
- Bulgaria
- Poland
- Finland

Training methods used & main activities

The schedule of activities for the "Change Now" TC integrated energizers, ice-breaking games, team building sessions, to
help participants get acquainted and to create a pleasant working environment.
Specific sessions, on the first day of the TC, was dedicated to the introduction of the participants and their sending
organisation, while BASE’s facilitator presented the hosting organisation, the project and E+ programme.
The other days followed a specific learning path - planned to achieve the above-mentioned learning outcomes - and are mainly
based on Non-Formal Education.
The activities were implemented by participants supported by BASE's facilitator, with
clear instructions, in order to ensure that the involved youth workers can exchange knowledge and learn more on
environmental issues, while - on the other side - they were to repeat the implemented activities with the young people they work with.

Outcomes of the activity

TALE allowed participants to better understand and engage on environmental protection, climate change and the EU Green Deal, as well as how to engage others on these topics. By participating to the TC, the youth workers strengthened their sense of initiative on environmental issues, as well as acquire knowledge and awareness about environmental education at the local, national and European level.
