Aims & objectives

This training course aims to explore and understand the full potential of non formal education and its learning aspects, as a complementary education besides formal and informal education. It confronts the participants with their professional practice and promotes a more conscious and effective approach towards non formal education as a tool for social change.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Participants come from different countries of Europe. A group up to 30 participants. Not only youth workers, but also teachers and social workers make part of the group. An average of 3 trainings/year.

Training methods used & main activities

This training is completely in betted in Non Formal Education as such. Besides reflections, self assessments, debates and discussions, also simulation exercise are used (e.g. Step forward, Plan B, Power to the People). This training is currently organised in English and will be implemented in the future also in French.

Outcomes of the activity

A strong impact on a huge number of participants, both on personal and professional life. Based upon evaluations, follow up survey etc.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Part of a fixed trainers team of 3 trainers.

I worked on this training for 5 (each training) days as a full time trainer.
