Aims & objectives

Global climate change and its impacts on people and resources pose serious social challenges. The actions we take today will influence the path of the future. They will also affect our ability to respond and adapt to changes and reduce the vulnerability of people and places to possible harm.
Educating future generations about the causes and effects of global climate change is imperative because the implementation of solutions depends on an informed public.
Is became a necessity to carry out an efficient intervention in micro realities to build a bridge to a broad-spectrum process aimed at macro realities by equyiping youth workers with relevant educational tools to tackle the problem of Climate Change and Healthy Lifestyle.

Aims:
1. Provide youth workers with knowledge, skills and tools to raise awareness about the environment and climate change among young people.
2. Educate young people about the issues and aspects of sustainable environment and climate change.
3. Stimulate youth workers' sense of initiative to raise awareness and educate youth for full participation in activities that lead to the resolution of environmental challenges
4. Provide youth workers with knowledge and skills in digital storytelling to foster a co-creation process among them and the youth's direct goal is to create an educational animation short film.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

19 participants al Youth Workers from partner countries Spain (4), France (3), Italy (3), Moldova (3), Estonia (3) and Russia (3) with residence in the countries of the partner organizations, including leaders and facilitators (+18 years).

Training methods used & main activities

Icebreaker games, teamwork sessions and workshops; round tables, debates, discussions, simulation, drama, danse, art...

Outcomes of the activity

TRAINING COURSE IMPACT ON YOUTH WORKERS
• Capacities to employ in their daily activities as youth operators gained knowledge and tools from ENF to promote environmental and climate change awareness and educate youth about the social and environmental effects / consequences of climate change;
• Increased confidence and skills in implementing sessions through the ENF media, with a focus on environment and climate change issues;
• Greater understanding of environmental problems, climate change and its facets;
• A better understanding of the design of the Erasmus + project, with a specific focus on the Youth sector..

The end result of the TC was the "ECO-Education 2050" Toolkit. In addition, participants establish a Social Awareness Campaign with content created during mobility.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I had two major responsibilities during this TC: 1/ as coordinator and agenda manager and 2/ as co-facilitator.
My tasks were:
- Mapping out training plans and schedules, designing and developing training programs with the colleagues
- Choosing appropriate training methods per case (virtual, simulated, mentoring, etc)
- Conduct training sessions, needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that needed to be addressed
- Daily evaluation
- Morning motivational dance and speaking.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
